Working in fabrication has taught me so much and has greatly improved my skills as both a designer and maker.
But I can tell you that learning to make 3D cookies cutters is a skill that scratched an itch I didn’t even know I had!
After base AI files are created, 3D rendering is done in Tinkercad
(I did the whole alphabet)
.STL file we made in Tinkercad must then be ‘sliced.’ The printer I was using is a Prusa MK3, so the slicing must be done in Prusa Slicer before sending to print.
Final product!
